Rick grew up in east Hamilton attending W.H. Ballard, Glen Echo,
Viscount Montgomery, Glendale and Sir Wilfred Laurier Schools. His
university career included McMaster and Brock University at the
undergraduate level as well as Fairleigh Dickinson University and
University of Chicago at the graduate level.
Beginning in the management program at CIBC, Rick's banking career
progressed into Private Banking providing financial advice to senior
executives of large U.S. companies in New Jersey, New York City
and finally the Chicago area.
Since returning to Hamilton in 1989, Rick has attained licenses
to sell mutual funds and insurance products and has earned his certified
Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.
Rick is a Past President of the Advocis Greater Hamilton (formerly the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors / CAIFA) and was a member of the Hamilton Estate Planning Council (formerly an executive member).
Rick Enjoys golf, curling, fishing, woodworking,
gardening, architectural conservation and charitable fundraising.
